Next time you pass Robert Dyas on the High Street take a little time to look above the household goods displayed in the windows, as above the shop sign you will notice a brickwork slab that depicts a pestle and mortar and glass bottle with a stopper. This sign suggests that the building housed a pharmacy in the past.
