    I do love your then and now photo's; maybe the ghost sign you highlighted previously on the alley wall of William Hill, opposite Wetherspoons, relates to what was Hall Automobile Engineers?
    What a shame the facade above the windows has changed, it looked so much nicer in 1920.
    My grandparents moved to Tonbridge in 1926, so I imagine this is how it was for them; it does look calm and peaceful!

  2. Yes it's fascinating isn't it, but always hard to position the same angle as many of the older photos were taken from in the road. Not possible now for obvious reasons. I prefer the old facade too.
