I almost missed this, but there is now a statement by KCC fixed on a post by the bus stops at the War Memorial regarding the offending tarmaced area. Does anyone know what a 'new clay paver footway' means?
Surely not, or should we really be surprised. And what about all the other tarmac squares where paving slabs have been removed over the last few years. Will they simply be filled with clay pavers too.
Unfortunately, clay pavers is just another word for brick. So probably be red brick like the High St section rather than the stone next to it - yuk.
