Recognising Tonbridge Recognised

This Recognising Tonbridge post had the fastest ever answer that came in from Nev in around 10 seconds of posting the photograph of the Enchanted Bakery's window.

For those of you who haven't yet been to this little gem of a cafe it's opposite the station exit in Barden Road.  Photos and more info on a previous Tonbridge Daily blog post http://tonbridgedaily.blogspot.com/2011/06/heavenly-bites.html

Heavenly Bites

Treat yourself to the best cakes in town if not Kent!! The Enchanted Bakery in Barden Road bakes cup cakes to die for!!

This place really is a gem.  There is no place like it in Tonbridge.  It is slightly off the beaten track behind the station in Barden Road and yet a stone's throw from the High Street.  I popped in today and the cafe was full, which isn't really difficult as there are only four tables inside as it's a cosy set-up, and another outside at the front - great for a sunny day.  The word is getting around that the bakery produces the best cakes in the area.  Not only are they scrummy, they all look so perfect.

The decor is country chic, kind of Cath Kidston, with polka dot table cloths.  Shelves display brightly coloured ceramic cup cakes, home accessories and crafts which are for sale.  It's cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean.

Not only can you indulge in all the sweet delights, the oreo and raspberry ripple cup cakes with pastel cream topping, but breakfast and lunch is also on the menu.

This place is like a secret you just can't keep to yourself.    Go and try it - you know you want to.
