Believe it or not 1 Kinnings Row is where Robert Pease lived with his family in the late 1920's to early 30's. The car park was his back garden where they kept chickens and grew veg.
Whenever I walk through through this area I know that I am probably re-treading my grandfather's footsteps and those of my father too, who used to talk about playing in the churchyard. Strangely enough I would pass the house every day when I walked my children to school. Being part of a long established Tonbridge family brings with it many stories and memories of the town
