Sadly there is only one image of Elias Allen who resided in Tonbridge for a very short time in the 17th century. The image is in The Thomas Fisher Rare Books Library in Toronto, Canada. This shows his rather splendid moustache etched by Czech artist Wenceslaus Holler. There is a large collection of his works at The British Museum. Make an appointment and take white gloves.
