New Tonbridge Lions Club President

On Saturday 30th June Mike Stout was inaugurated as the sixty-third President of Tonbridge Lions Club. Outgoing President, Allan Mort, presented Mike with the chain of office at a dinner dance at Nizels Golf Club.

Mike was brought up in Mitcham, Surrey and for the majority of his working life worked for a private practice in Croydon, as a quantity surveyor, on major construction projects in the UK and abroad before taking early retirement in March 2012.

He has been married to Penny for 39 years and they have two married children, Karen and Richard and two granddaughters, Abigail and Charlotte.

Mike has lived in Tonbridge for 36 years, and apart from his family his main interests are playing golf, walking and supporting Tonbridge Angels Football Club. He considers it a great honour and privilege to become President of the oldest Lions Club in the country and along with Penny they are looking forward to the presidential year ahead.
