Tonbridge Daily Snippet

A motor car named 'Tonbridge' was produced in the town in 1920.  The 20 h.p. saloon was built by The Storey Motor Company whose works were on the industrial estate approximately where Halfords and B&Q now stand.  The 'Tonbridge' was sold for £1200.

The Industrial slump of the late 1920's forced the family car building business to close.

I've searched for a photograph of the 'Tonbridge' but as yet haven't found an image.  If anyone has one of this car I would be very interested.  tonbridgedaily@gmail.com
